unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12-12.1.2 adds partial support for A12-A12X devices

The team behind the unc0ver jailbreak @pwn20wnd added partial support in their latest beta of unc0ver 3.0 for A12-A12X devices like iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and the 2018 iPad Pro.

Partial support does allow you to Jailbreak your device but you wont have Cydia which means as of now you cannot install any tweaks, however the partial support will lead to blocking the updates and you will gain the ability to remount the root-file system.

Cydia support and a complete jailbreak is still in works and we don't have a exact time when its going to be released so people with the newer devices can insure their jailbreak in the future by using the partial support as of right now.

The complete list of changes in the newest beta are as follows:

  • Enable partial (Export/Un-Export Kernel Task Port, Set HSP4 as TFP0, Dump APTicket, Overwrite Boot Nonce, Log Slide, Log ECID, Disable Auto Updates, Remount RootFS, Disable App Revokes, Restore RootFS) iOS 12.0 – 12.1.2 support for A12-A12X devices
  • Update the APT lists cache file for repositories
  • Fix the voucher_swap exploit for the beta firmwares on A12-A12X
  • Update the APT lists cache file for repositories.
Note:Before attempting this make sure to delete any OTA updates from the storage, Turn AirPlane mode on and turn 'Find My iPhone' off from the settings.
